Welcome to the new Eyejabber

This is a placeholder for the first post on the rebuilt Eyejabber. The old site is being revived from the Internet Archive, and the archive will fill out over the coming weeks as the originals are restored, rewritten, or retired.

If you remember the old Eyejabber: welcome back. If this is your first visit: this is a site about attention — what we look at, why we look at it, and what it does to us. New writing will land here as the archive comes back online.

What to expect

  • A weekly-ish cadence, not a content treadmill.
  • Pieces that are short when they should be short and long when the subject earns it.
  • A real RSS feed (so you can leave the timeline).
  • Discussion on Reddit instead of in-site comments.
